    Income & horizonQuestion 1 of 10

When you stop working, and what has to replace the paycheque.

When do you plan to stop working?

    What it measures

Five areas decide whether a retirement plan holds up

Most plans do not fail because of markets. They fail because one of these five areas was never written down. The Vista Score checks each of them.

    Income & horizon

When you stop working, and what has to replace the paycheque.

Why it matters: Without a target, most people either work years longer than needed or run short in their eighties.

    Assets & drawdown

What you've accumulated, and the order you'll spend it in.

Why it matters: A poor withdrawal order and a bad first decade of returns can cut a portfolio's lifespan by a decade.

    Tax efficiency

The single largest controllable cost in retirement.

Why it matters: Unmanaged bracket jumps and required withdrawals routinely cost six figures over a retirement.

    Estate documents

The paperwork that decides what happens without you.

Why it matters: Intestacy and outdated documents cause probate delays, avoidable tax and family disputes.

    Protection & beneficiaries

What happens if health, care needs or the unexpected arrive first.

Why it matters: Beneficiary designations override your will; a stale one can send assets to the wrong person entirely.

    How it is scored

Every answer is graded, every area is a percentage

Each option carries points. A pillar score is the points you earned as a percentage of the points available in that pillar, and your overall score is the same calculation across every question you answered — so a ten-question scan and a deeper run are directly comparable.

    • Start here0–34

You're early — which is the best time to fix this. Start with a retirement income estimate and a basic will.

    • Needs attention35–59

There are meaningful gaps in either your income plan or your estate documents. Both are fixable quickly.

    • On your way60–79

The core is there, but income sequencing or estate documents likely need attention before they start costing you.

    • Well prepared80–100

Your retirement and estate foundations look strong. The remaining gains are usually in tax-aware drawdown and keeping documents current.

    Questions

    Vista Score, answered

Is the Vista Score really free?
Yes. The assessment, your score, your pillar breakdown and the written report are all free. There is no card and no trial to cancel.
Do I need an account to get my score?
No. You see your full score and your biggest gaps on screen without signing up. An email is only needed if you want the written report sent to you.
    How long does it take?
Ten questions, about two minutes. Two questions in each of the five areas that decide whether a retirement and estate plan holds up.
    How is the score calculated?
Each answer carries points. Every pillar is scored as a percentage of the points available in that pillar, and your overall score is the percentage across every question you answered — so partial answers are still scored fairly.
    What happens to my answers?
Your answers are used to produce your score and, if you ask for it, your report. We do not sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Is the Vista Score financial advice?
No. It is an educational readiness check that highlights common, expensive gaps. It does not account for your full circumstances and is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
